Bartosz Janusz Salon | Moomoo Architects

Gallery

Description

The client’s initial request was to add a retail space to a salon area. The salon has a secondary function - it serves as an exhibition space for young designer's garments hand picked by a famous Polish designer. A fitting room is concealed behind the curtain wall that visually separates the retail function from the hairdresser's zone. Inclined wall planes are bisected by horizontal cuts, opening shelf spaces for the exhibited hair products along with the functional sink surface.

Tall slender mirror pillars serve both clients and the stylists, offering inside an abundance of storage. Spatial dynamism and multiple reflections allow multiple perspective views of the space, resulting in a playful creative environment for hair masters. Plenty of waiting space is provided along the window openings as well as at the entrance.
